Humanitarian actors reached 1.79 million people with lifesaving, multisectoral assistance in 2021. 97 per cent of the most vulnerable people targeted under the 2021 Humanitarian Response Plan received an assistance. This is a 12 per cent increase from 2020, despite an increasingly difficult context marked by growing insecurity and new risks, including explosive devices, limiting humanitarian access. The food security sector reached the largest number of beneficiaries (1.6 million), followed by nutrition, health and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). More details here
